The Agafay Desert is an undeveloped area and is the perfect one-day excursion from Marrakech if you don’t have time to visit the Merzouga, M’hamid or Zagora Sahara Desert during your Morocco vacation.
The Agafay Desert’s landscape is covered with wheat, barley and flowers however in the summer and autumn months it looks similar to the real desert with flowing dunes and the bonus of majestic High Atlas Mountain views nestled just behind it.
The desert of Agafay is located about 40 kilometers outside of Marrakech, during this Marrakech day tour we are going to see how the aspect of the landscape varies, going from the urbanite Marrakech to the rustic soil.

Itinerary
Day 1: pick from your hotel/riad in Marrakech for a short drive of 30mn to get to the Village of Tafrashte from where you can pick up the camels, sett of for a 2 to 3hours camel ride, pic-nique on the way then get to the Agafay Luxury camp where you will spend the night.
Day2: morning Relax on the camp, lunch then transfer back with a 4×4 to Marrakech
