The Agafay Desert does not have sand dunes, unlike the Sahara Desert or other typical sand deserts. Large rock formations instead encircle the region.
These are formed of solid rock, but they resemble sand dunes in both shape and color. With the High Atlas Mountains as a backdrop, they mold the landscape into incredibly intriguing and lovely patterns.
